英語セミナール(英語専攻者対象)

【目標】「英語を」ではなく「英語で」学ぶことを目的とする。講師別にテーマを分けたコンテンツ・ベースのコース。学生は希望するテーマの概要を元に履修登録し、1セメスター（通年も可）週2回受講。講師はT.E.S.O.L.資格に加え、それぞれのテーマ分野での実務経験及び研究実績があることが条件。テーマはセメスター毎に見直すが、これまでの主なものとしては下記のものがある。

This course will introduce students to American film beginning from the silent film era to the present. Students will learn the basic vocabulary of film and will be exposed to a variety of films. The objective of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of the history of American film and the necessary skills to be able to critically analyze and discuss film and film technique in English. In addition, students will gain first-hand experience in the production of short films.

This course will offer a highly applied presentation intensive experience with each lesson period devoted to research presentations, short speeches, and student lectures delivered in individual, pair and group formats. The course follows a proactive, learner-centered and discovery oriented approach toward the honing of individual and group competencies in the communicative process. (e.g. applied verbal and non-verbal communication, pronunciation and inflection, active listening skills).

テキストの地図に表示された店や場所を訪れる頻度について話す。

Lesson A, p.55, #2B Finding places on the map

5つの「場所」への道順を、地図を使いながらペアで説明し合う。

Lesson A, p.55, #3A Speaking naturally

"bookstore” や “police station” と言った語彙のアクセント及びイントネーションを練習。

聞きとった内容についてをペア単位でディスカッション。

道順を尋ねる女性の会話を聞き、何を求めているのかを聞き取ります。

会話文の空白に場所を示す適切な表現を入れる。

behind, in front of, next to, outside, on the cornerといった「場所」を指す語彙を確実に身につける。
